Mayhaus
view project description
The Mayhaus in Frankfurt’s Römerstadt is the only fully restored residential building in the style of the Neues Frankfurt movement of the 1920s. The building is the subject of a publication that contextualizes the model house through historical plans and texts, addressing its architectural, functional, and socio-cultural significance. I was commissioned to produce the contemporary photographic material for the book, documenting the building in its present-day condition, its spatial and functional qualities, as well as its surrounding context. The book is edited and authored by Christina Treutlein and Philipp Sturm, with book design by the Frankfurt-based studio Profi-Aesthetics.
